PAIA Manual (Promotion of Access to Information Act)
This PAIA Manual is published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”) and gives effect to the constitutional right of access to information. This Manual also supports our compliance obligations under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

3. Guide on PAIA (Section 10)
The Information Regulator has published a Guide on how to use PAIA. The Guide is available from the Information Regulator. Information Regulator resources and forms are available on its website, including Form 2 (Request for Access to Record) and Form 5 (Complaint Form).
4. Records Automatically Available (Section 52)
Records that are automatically available without a PAIA request may include certain publicly available information on our website and social media pages, including general service information and contact details.
5. Records Available on Request (Section 51(1)(e))
Subject to PAIA and applicable legal exemptions, we may hold records relating to the following categories:
- Customer and client records (enquiries, quotations, job communications, and service details)
- Financial, accounting, and tax records
- Supplier and contractor records
- Website, technical, and security logs
- Marketing and communications records (where applicable)
- Company policies and internal procedures
6. Request Procedure (How to Request Access)
A requester must complete the prescribed PAIA request form (Form 2) and submit it to the Information Officer. The request should provide sufficient detail to identify the record and the requester, the form of access required, and the postal or email address for correspondence.
7. Request Fees
Where applicable, fees may be payable in accordance with PAIA regulations. We will inform you if any fee applies before processing the request further.
8. Grounds for Refusal of Access
Access to records may be refused on grounds permitted by PAIA, including to protect privacy, confidentiality, commercial information, or legal privilege, or where disclosure is prohibited by law.
9. Remedies (Internal and External)
If your PAIA request is refused or you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator using the prescribed complaint process and Form 5. The Information Regulator provides complaint email channels for PAIA and POPIA matters.
